Arrest made in attempted homicide in Hill

Allegheny County sheriff's deputies arrested a man wanted on attempted homicide charges today when he showed up to the county courthouse for hearings on unrelated drug charges.

William Lee was wanted for an Aug. 11 robbery and shooting of Tarik Phillips on De Ruad Street in the Hill District, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies at the courthouse discovered warrants for attempted homicide and aggravated assault and arrested Mr. Lee without incident.

He was being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
