A 36-year-old Somerset County man has been charged with raping a mentally disabled woman during practice for the Special Olympics.

State police said Michael Allan Miller is accused of raping a woman with the mental capacity of a 6-year-old. Police said two rapes occurred in a church on April 29. The woman was part of a group holding basketball practice for the Special Olympics.

Mr. Miller has served time in state prison after pleading guilty in March 2000 to charges relating to the death of his 4-month-old son.
