A Munhall man whom the Allegheny County sheriff's office says owes nearly $109,000 in back child support was arrested this morning after he failed to appear in Family Court to address the matter.

John A. Ross, 35, had been sought on a bench warrant for failing to appear in the Family Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Detectives found Mr. Ross this morning hiding in a second-floor bedroom in his residence, Sheriff William P. Mullen said. Mr. Ross was taken to Allegheny County Jail where he is awaiting a hearing.
