Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Despite a neighborhood search that included use of a state police helicopter, a 49-year-old Mt. Lebanon man remains missing.

Michael Platts, who has a history of memory loss, anxiety and depression stemming from viral encephalitis, left his Milbeth Drive home on foot yesterday morning. He reportedly had not taken his daily medication for seizures, and was not carrying identification.

Mr. Platts was wearing a green-and-blue plaid shirt, blue shorts, white socks and sandals.

"It's now just a matter of hoping someone will see him," said Ken Truver, Mt. Lebanon deputy chief of police.

Anyone will information is asked to call the Mt. Lebanon police at 412-343-4143.
