Forget bottled water. The next generation of health craze seen swinging from the hands of busy celebs is herbal-infused drinks. Botanical beverages are bottled flavored drinks loaded with vitamins, nutrients and all the benefits of ancient herbal remedies. Many are teas, such as a variety in the popular Bombilla & Gourd line (Whole Foods, $3.25 for 16 ounces). The Green Jasmine, for instance, contains 130 percent daily value of vitamin C with a high pH and low acid as well as EGCg, which is supposedly 100 times more powerful than vitamin C. Bombilla & Gourd also makes a line of mate drinks made from the Yerba mate leaf, a type of evergreen. In South America, mate is known as the drink of the gods and is consumed more than coffee. From the Kopali Organics line, also at Whole Foods, comes Honeybush Theiraromatic Tea, a herbal tisane indigenous to South Africa's Western Cape province. The fermented leaves and stems of Honeybush are brewed to release their aromatic and healing properties. And for a fun alternative to the usual soft drinks, try HINT's "Hibiscus Vanilla" (Whole Foods, $1.79 for 16 ounces), which is organic, all-natural and sugar-free.
