Pageant winners, high school and middle school marching bands, performers and organizations are invited to take part in the homecoming parade Oct. 11 at California University of Pennsylvania.
The parade will culminate a week of homecoming events that start Oct. 6.

The board of directors of Canonsburg General Hospital has appointed these doctors to the medical staff:
Dr. Wenhui Cao, a board-certified physiatrist, received her medical degree from Hebei Medical University in China and completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at State University of New York at Buffalo. Her office is in Washington.
Dr. John Thomas Comerci Jr., a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, with a subspecialty certified in gynecological oncology. His office is at Western Pennsylvania Hospital.
Dr. Shirley Dopson, a nephrologist, received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and a fellowship in nephrology at Medical University of South Carolina. Her offices are in McMurray and Washington.
Dr. Jing-Zhou Hou, a medical oncologist, received his medical degree from Zhengzhou University and completed a fellowship in oncology at Stanford University School of Medicine. His office is in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Prasanna Isaac, a nephrologist, received her medical degree from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and completed a fellowship in nephrology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport. She is an associate of Teredesai, McCann & Associates with offices in Canonsburg and Washington.
Dr. Renu Pokharna, a neurologist, received her medical degree at Sawai Man Singh Medical College in India, completed a residency in neurology at Louisiana State University and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and a fellowship in multiple sclerosis at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Mohammad P. Rahman, a board-certified oncologist, completed a residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and a fellowship in medical oncology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. His office is in Washington.
The state Department of Transportation will display plans for a bridge replacement project on Route 88 over Pumpkin Run in Greene County from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Jefferson Fire Hall, 1430 Jefferson Road.
PennDOT engineers are preparing a conceptual design for replacing the bridge and reconstructing the approaches on both sides.
Construction is expected to begin in early spring. During construction, traffic will be diverted onto a temporary roadway. Route 88 will remain open throughout the project and access will be maintained to businesses and adjacent properties.
PennDOT officials will answer questions about the project and display drawings of the construction area.

Registration is under way for a one-day seminar titled "Law School for Non Profits," a program for staff, volunteers and board members of nonprofit agencies. The seminar will be held Sept. 24 at the Holiday Inn, Meadowlands.
The session is sponsored by the Washington County Bar Association, Washington County Community Foundation, United Way of Washington County and WesBanco's Trust & Investment Services.
It will provide information on recently revised federal and state guidelines and regulations affecting nonprofit organizations.
Lawyers, accountants, bankers, and insurance and tax experts will discuss topics such as board members' liability, bylaws and articles of incorporation, fraud prevention, tax regulations and new 990 requirements. Kathy Sabol, executive director for the county bar association, has arranged for continuing education credits for lawyers and accountants.
The cost is $60, which includes all materials, breakout sessions, continental breakfast and lunch.

Dr. Charles Koliner, of Mt. Lebanon, as been appointed medical director of The Washington Hospital Critical Care Unit.
Dr. Koliner, who has been on staff for 26 years, is board certified in internal and pulmonary medicine. He's also the medical director of The Washington Hospital Sleep Center.
