Each year Cyndi Nace and Jim "Doc" Mendelson work their magic and find 50 fresh new single professionals, living among the married in our metropolitan area, who are willing to raise money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The 25 men and 25 women were feted at the Omni William Penn Aug. 21 during the 13th 50 Finest. WTAE-TV's Andrew Stockey was emcee, introducing the participants two by two as they entered the ballroom from the balcony above. Cheering were family and friends, including Steelers legend Franco Harris and his wife, Dana. Their son F. Dok Harris was one of the 50 honored, along with Corey O'Connor, son of the late Mayor Bob O'Connor.
