FESTIVALS

Scott -- Covenant-Community Presbyterian Church, 1630 Greentree Road, will hold a fall festival and craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 13 with home party vendors, flea market, children's games, bake sale, ticket auction and food.

FISH FRIES

Bethel Park -- Bethel Park Lions Club will hold its semi-annual fish fry, rain or shine, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at Lions Park, 5757 Irishtown Road. Drive-through service will be available. Mt. Lebanon -- Mt. Lebanon Public Library will hold:

• College Admissions 101, 7 p.m. Tuesday for high school students and their parents;

• Identity Theft, 7 p.m. Tuesday, presented by a representative from the Office of Consumer Liaison for the Pennsylvania Insurance Department;

• Sing, Sign and Play, 10 a.m. Monday and Sept. 15, or 10 a.m. next Thursday and Sept. 18.

Whitehall -- The Women's Network of the Brentwood Baldwin Whitehall Chamber of Commerce will hold a women's networking luncheon at noon Sept. 12 at South Hills Country Club, 4305 Brownsville Road. RECREATION

Peters -- Peters Township Parks and Recreation will host the following six-week, gentle-style dog school courses starting next Thursday in the community room, next to the police station, 200 Municipal Drive:

• Puppy Introduction, 7 to 8 p.m., to teach puppies behavior and safety within the home, how to accept strangers and how to pay attention to their owners during distractions.

• Basic Dog Obedience, 8:15 to 9:15 p.m., to encourage dogs and handlers to work as a team with the owner as leader. Topics include understanding dog body language and behavior.

Instructor is Deborah Miller-Gurchak. Fee per course: $80 resident, $120 nonresident and $30 to audit only.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

Mt. Lebanon -- St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1066 Washington Road, will begin these new Sunday services and/or service times starting Sunday: 8 a.m., Holy Communion in the chapel; 8:30 a.m., family-friendly communion in the church; 9:30 a.m., programs for children youth and adults; and 10:30 a.m., Holy Communion in the church. SEMINARS

Mt. Lebanon -- Outreach Teen & Family Services, a local nonprofit that provides counseling and educational programs for teens and their families, is offering "Parenting Positively," a down-to-earth training program for parents who want to develop effective ways to get along with and help their children. The six-session class will be held Mondays, starting Monday through Oct. 13, at the organization's offices at 666 Washington Road. An afternoon session will be offered from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and an evening session from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $95 per person or $150 per couple. Scholarships are available. SENIORS

Peters -- Peters Township Parks and Recreation will host a free picnic at Peterswood Park, Shelter No. 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 10. George Suhon will provide musical entertainment from 4 to 5 p.m. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided. Bring a covered dish to share. Co-sponsored with the Area Agency on Aging, age 55 and older may attend. If inclement weather, the picnic will be moved to the township recreation center. For more information, call 724-942-5000.
