Tuesday, September 02, 2008

A Greensburg woman died from injuries she suffered in a two-vehicle collision in Hempfield late Sunday.

Beatrice Cutaia, 79, was pulling onto Route 130 from Hacke Lane about 11 p.m. when her car was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Jason Slonacher, 28, of Greensburg, state police said.

The truck pushed the car through the intersection and off the road, where it struck a mailbox and retaining wall. A passenger in Mr. Slonacher's truck, Matthew Reese, 28, of Greensburg, suffered minor injuries.

A state police report said none of the three was wearing a seat belt.
