Fire officials in Jeannette are investigating two arsons this week, one of which happened early yesterday and left a 10-unit rowhouse a total loss.

Firefighters were called to the blaze in the 600 block of Chambers Avenue about 5:30 a.m., Fire Chief Mike Bertolino said. He said the rowhouse has been abandoned and vacant for several years. No one was hurt.

Chief Bertolino said it's unknown whether that blaze was related to a Wednesday night arson in the 600 block of Highland Avenue. He said someone threw an unknown type of accelerant at a door of the home, but the fire was nearly extinguished by the time firefighters arrived.
