A 22-year-old man was shot to death late Wednesday night in the parking lot next to a Homestead bar that has seen several shootings in recent years.
Marc Ferguson, of Turtle Creek, suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the chest and pelvis, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office.
Allegheny County police have an arrest warrant for Raymond A. Glaze Jr., who lives in the Homestead area. He faces a homicide charge.
Mr. Glaze was last seen at Ann Street and 7th Avenue, next to the Second Time Around bar.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot shortly before midnight, and friends then took Mr. Ferguson to UPMC Braddock, where he was pronounced dead at 12:48 a.m.
In January, 30-year-old James Penn was shot multiple times as he stood outside Second Time Around, and he died from gunshot wounds to the head and trunk.
Two years before, Andrew William Henley stepped from an alley and fired at several police officers who were breaking up a fight in front of the bar. One of the officers then chased Mr. Henley and fired back, hitting him in the right hand and thigh.
Both the suspect and the victim in Wednesday's shooting have criminal histories.
In 2006, Mr. Glaze pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, and prosecutors withdrew charges of reckless endangerment and public drunkenness. In 2004, he received six months of probation for possession of a controlled substance.
Mr. Ferguson was arrested in 2001, 2006 and 2007 on drug charges. On Aug. 8, a judge postponed his sentencing in the latest case until November.
Mr. Ferguson was once a student at Duquesne University, but he hadn't been enrolled in classes since the spring of 2005, according to the university.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mr. Glaze is asked to call county police homicide detectives at 412-473-1300.
