Q: During the last third of last season it became apparent that the Steelers don't practice how to "wrap up" on tackles. This preseason it's evident that they prefer to hit low or arm tackle. Too many teams are "breaking out" against them because of the poor tackling. A high school coach could teach them better technique. So, what gives? Why is the tackling so poor?

BOUCHETTE: Do you pronounce your Louisville the way they pronounce Looville in Kentucky? Haven't you heard? It's not cool to "wrap up" on tackles anymore. You have to go for the kill shot, which is basically throwing yourself into the other guy with the hopes that a) He'll fall down, b) He might fumble, and c) It will be shown on ESPN. It's not just the Steelers, it's virtually every defender in the NFL, especially the defensive backs. Plus, not only don't they teach tackling in the pros, they don't tackle in practice except for a few live drills each training camp.
