Ed Gotwalt, owner of Mr. Ed's Elephant Museum, received his first elephant as a wedding gift in 1967 and began collecting anything related to the animal. When his collection outgrew his house, he opened a candy store in 1975, and it now numbers up to 10,000 items. The museum is on Route 30 in Orrtanna, just before you reach Gettysburg. It's open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free.
