The kickoff cocktail party for sponsors of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's fall gala took advantage of the breathtaking view from LeMont Restaurant's Mount Washington perch on July 14. The reception featured several sermons on the mount thanking sponsors and encouraging them to spread the word about the One Night Stand Gala on Oct. 11 at the Benedum Center. The event will celebrate the Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts. Becky and John Surma, president of U.S. Steel Corp., will chair the evening, and Dick's Sporting Goods is the presenting sponsor. The Duquesne Club will cater dinner on the Benedum Center stage, followed by a private performance by Germany's Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester and dancing.
