A man was held for trial today on charges he participated in a shooting that left two men dead in a van in Lincoln-Lemington.
A security guard who chased and caught the suspect testified today at the preliminary hearing for Alan Moorefield, 42.
Clarence Gunter said he and his partner were in a car outside a property they guard on Apple Avenue on July 5 when they heard shots and saw the rear window of a van blow out.
The van sped by them and they chased it through Homewood and back to Apple.
Mr. Gunter said the driver jumped out and escaped and Mr. Moorefield also tried to flee but the guards, who were armed, caught him.
Dead inside the van were Christopher Brandyburg, 32, and William Walker, 34, both of Beaver Falls.
The driver has not been captured.
Following the testimony, District Judge Mary Murray ordered Mr. Moorefield to trial.
