Police and animal control officers seized 35 animals from the home Pitcairn man today, police said.

Officers searched the home in the 1000 block of Broadway Street about 10:30 a.m., taking with them dogs, cats, rats, rabbits and some other animals, police said.

Some of the animals, whose conditions were unknown, were taken to Triangle Pet Control Service in McKees Rocks.

The resident's name was not released.
