Ross Park Mall announces more new tenants
Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Ross Park Mall just keeps adding new stores to the list of tenants that will join Nordstrom in moving into the North Hills shopping center.

Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand and Janie and Jack have signed on to be part of the mall's makeover as an upscale, fashion destination, according to an announcement from Simon Property Group Inc.

The 1.2 million-square-foot mall has been remodeling to make room for the Nordstrom department store scheduled to open in October. That anchor tenant has been helpful in drawing in other stores and the mall owner's steady release of names seems designed to build excitement around the changes.

Retailers previously announced for the mall include jeweler Tiffany & Co., L.L.Bean, Louis Vuitton and Burberry.

Mall officials have noted that they will continue to offer affordable fashion, too. Existing mall anchors are Macy's, JCPenney and Sears.

In the Pittsburgh region, Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group also owns South Hills Village mall and Century III Mall.

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
