
A 15-year-old North Side boy has been charged with a fatal shooting last month on Mt. Washington.
Pittsburgh homicide detectives said Gary Milligan is the suspect witnesses described as the short, dark-skinned black male who fired shots June 19 during an argument that mortally wounded Brandon Alton, 23.
Investigators said the suspect and victim had been among two groups of friends who got into an argument at that erupted in gunfire at 12:26 a.m. June 19 at Sonny's Place, a bar in the 300 block of Shiloh Street.
During the fight, police said, the suspect pulled a pistol and fired two rounds, one of which struck Mr. Alton.
The gunman then fled.
Detectives developed Mr. Milligan as a suspect and, after interviewing him July 11, arrested him on charges of homicide and carrying a firearm without a license.
Mr. Milligan is being held without bail in the Allegheny County Jail, pending a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. July 17.
