BIBLE SCHOOLS

Cranberry -- Cornerstone Church of Cranberry, 709 Thompson Park Drive, will hold vacation Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for children ages 3 through fifth grade. Registration due by July 28. Visit www.cornerstoneumchurch.org or call 724-772-2970.

CLASSES

McCandless -- Peggy Amatangelo will teach keyboarding to those age 9 and older during six classes next month at the Carson Middle School computer lab, 200 Hillvue Lane. Classes will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug 5 through 7 and Aug. 12 through 14. Students will learn from Typing Tutor and Microsoft Word drills. Cost is $35. Register by calling Ann at 412-369-5406.

CONCERTS

Butler -- The family summer concert series, sponsored by the Butler County Park and Recreation Department, will offer free concerts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Carousel Shelter in Alameda Park. On Tuesday, the performance is by Waldo Young -- One Man Band.

Butler -- The Sharp Edge Barbershop Quartet will perform from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Butler County Symphony Association office, 259 S. Cranberry -- The oldies band American Pie will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at Cranberry Rotary Amphitheater, Cranberry Community Park, Route 19. Celtic fiddler Seth McCall will perform at noon July 18 in the Garden Gazebo at the municipal center, 2525 Rochester Road. Both are free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Harmony -- Rockabilly band Highway 13 will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on the porch of the Harmony Inn on Mercer Street during its summer series concerts. Free. Bring seating.

Richland -- Pure Gold, a four-part harmony group, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Kean Theatre at The Washington Place, 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $39 for general admission or $57 for the show and dinner at any Atria's Restaurant & Tavern. Call 724-444-5326.

Richland -- The Third Annual St. Ursula School Golf Outing will be held Aug. 1 at Pittsburgh North Golf Course, 3800 Bakerstown Road. Three-man scramble format with a shotgun start at noon. Mt. Lebanon -- The Mt. Lebanon-based Family Hospice and Palliative Care will host Camp Healing Hearts, a one-day program for children who are grieving the loss of a loved one, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 16 at its Center for Compassionate Care, 50 Moffett St. This free program, open to ages 6 to 12 plus a parent or guardian, offers healing activities and teaches children that they are not alone in their grief.
