A Chicora woman was killed today when an SUV struck her motorcycle from behind while traveling south on Route 68 in Butler County, according to state police.
Raylene G. Saceric, 49, was struck by a Chevrolet Blazer when she stopped to wait for traffic to pass in order to make a left turn into a business, using her turn signal, police said. The Blazer, driven by a 17-year-old Bruin girl, then drove over Ms. Saceric's motorcycle, sending her into a yard on the western side of Route 68.
Ms. Saceric, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at Chicora Elementary School before a helicopter could take her to a hospital. Police say charges are pending against the 17-year-old, whose name has not been released because she's a juvenile.
