The National Weather Service has posted a severe thunderstorm watch for much of Western Pennsylvania, in effect until 10 p.m.

The watch includes Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Forest, Greene, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango and Washington counties.

At 6:15 p.m., a line of strong storms was moving eastward across Eastern Ohio.
