MONDAY

Get out the vote: While the Pirates likely won't have two players selected to the NL All-Star roster, there is a chance one of those left off will be on the second-chance ballot (Xavier Nady or Nate McLouth?) in which fans can vote until Thursday for each roster's 32nd player.

Did you know: Aside from 2006, when the Pirates played host to the All-Star Game, they have had two All-Stars just once since 1993. Jason Kendall and Brian Giles were named to the 2000 game in Atlanta, where Kendall wound up starting for the National League after Mike Piazza was scratched because of injury.

To watch: 7:05 p.m., PNC Park, FSN Pittsburgh.

FRIDAY

The King at 50: The current Sprint Cup stars will be on display at Chicagoland Speedway, but it will also be a weekend to celebrate Richard Petty's 50th year in NASCAR.
