Highlights of Ralph Lauren's sports portfolio:
1979: Designs the official playing uniform of the New York Cosmos soccer team.
1987: Introduces Polo Golf.
1992: Outfits the America3 yacht team for the America's Cup. The team goes on to win the competition.
1993: Launches Polo Sport.

1999: Beginning of an eight-year relationship outfitting the Aspen Skiing Company, its instructors, pro patrol and all other mountain staff in RLX.
2000: Dresses the Duke women's golf team.

2002: Outfits snowboarder Ross Powers in RLX at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Mr. Powers wins the gold medal in halfpipe.
2005: Begins a four-year partnership as the official apparel sponsor of the U.S. Open for the U.S. Tennis Association and a three-year title sponsorship of the All-American Tennis Championship in Tulsa, Okla., dressing players in Polo Tennis.
2006: Becomes exclusive official outfitter of Wimbledon through 2010, the first designer in the tournament's history to create uniforms for all ball persons, umpires and other on-court officials.

2006: Outfits the U.S. Ryder Cup team in Ireland on and off the course.
