Adam Gress, an offensive lineman at West Mifflin High School, has decided to play at Penn State.
Gress, a senior, made a verbal commitment to Penn State this morning. He is a 6-foot-7, 290-pound offensive tackle who chose Penn State over West Virginia. He also had scholarship offers from Michigan, Rutgers, Central Florida and Mid-American Conference schools.
More and more colleges started to recruit Gress in the past month or so. Penn State offered him a scholarship two weeks ago after he attended the Nittany Lions summer camp.
"This whole time, I've been looking for the perfect package," Gress said. "I've been looking for a good campus, great football traditin, good coaches, good people. Penn State has all of that."
Gress is the first WPIAL player from the class of 2009 to choose Penn State.
