Missing patient returned to Torrance State Hospital
Wednesday, July 02, 2008

A Fayette County woman who had been reported missing by authorities at Torrance State Hospital in Derry Township has been returned to the facility, state police said.

State police this morning had announced a search for the woman, Kisa Nolan, 34, of Republic.

Mrs. Nolan had been committed to the mental hospital by court order for her own protection, police said.

She was granted a home visit with her husband Saturday night. She was reported missing Sunday when she failed to return, police said.

Her husband, Dan Nolan, told police that his wife had been waiting in the car while he went shopping at a Wal Mart store in Uniontown. When he returned to the vehicle, Mrs. Nolan was gone, police said.

State police did not comment on Mrs. Nolan's condition upon her return, nor did investigators explain where she had gone.
