Continuing problems with the online special liquor order system have prompted Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board officials to suspend the service for two months to upgrade it.

Restaurant and bar owners can place orders by fax, e-mail or in person at any Wine and Spirits state store.

The technical problems surfaced nearly a month ago, when liquor licensees and vendors going online to replenish their wine and spirits inventory faced delays and disruptions.

One wholesaler also reported that he could not get purchase orders so he could not fill customers' orders promptly.
