The Pitt football program received a verbal commitment today from Jack Lippert, a defensive end from Central Dauphin High School near Harrisburg. At 6 feet 3, 245 pounds, Lippert, who will be a senior this fall, chose the Panthers over Boston College.

He is Pitt's fourth verbal commitment from the high school Class of 2009, joining running back Dion Lewis and linemen Cory King and Juantez Hollins.
