Jury selection will begin July 7 for the trial of state Sen. Robert Regola III on charges he committed perjury and violated gun laws.
Mr. Regola is accused of lying under oath at a coroner's inquest into the death of 14-year-old neighbor Louis Farrell. The coroner's office ruled Louis shot himself with the senator's handgun in July 2006.
Mr. Regola also is accused of allowing his son, Bobby Regola, to have access to the gun. Bobby Regola is serving a year's probation for illegally possessing the handgun.
