A volunteer firefighter was injured yesterday when he fell through the attic of a burning house in Baldwin Borough and fell two stories to the first floor.

Dennis McDonough of the Broughton Volunteer Fire Department said the firefighter, whose name he did not release, suffered minor injuries in the fall at a house in the 5300 block of Brownsville Road.

The fire broke out about 4 p.m., officials said. Other firefighters suffered from heat-related ailments but are OK, officials said.
