An Ohio man was killed when his ATV crashed Saturday over an embankment in Mahaffey, Clearfield County, state police in Punxsutawney said.

Randy Bailey, 55, of Mogadore, was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred at about 8 p.m., police said.

Mr. Bailey had been riding a trail in a wooded area near Sunderland Lane when he lost control of his vehicle on a left-hand bend.

The ATV careened over a 7-foot embankment and struck several trees.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
