Rohn Neugebauer has been appointed sales director of Coldwell Banker Real Estate's Fox Chapel office. He has 12 years' experience in residential sales and holds the designations of Accredited Seller Representative and Accredited Buyer Representative. He previously was a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley and is a veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard and the Air Force Reserve. Mr. Neugebauer received a bachelor's degree in business from Temple University.




Howard Hanna Real Estate Services has hired new sales associates. The agents and locations are:

North Hills: Heather Hoover, formerly with Coldwell Banker; Jennifer Pearson, previously a media assistant with the Pittsburgh Steelers; and Jake Grimm.

Howard Hanna sales associate Susan McCaffrey has earned the designation Accredited Staging Professional. She works out of the condominium division in Oakland and is a member of the site team at 5859 Beacon in Squirrel Hill.

FIRMS

Builder S&A Homes has obtained Energy Star certification for its single-family home units. Energy Star is the U.S. Environment Protection Agency's program recognizing superior energy performance. S&A Homes says buyers of these homes will save an average of $200 to $500 per year on utility bills over a house built to standard code levels. Energy-efficient homes have reduced greenhouse gas emissions and less impact on the environment.




Howard Hanna Mortgage Services was the sixth largest real estate mortgage company in the United States in latest rankings by Real Trends, a publisher of trends and analysis for the residential real estate industry.

DEVELOPMENTS

The Carlyle, Downtown condominiums in the former Union National Bank Building, was recently recommended by the Urban Redevelopment Authority for inclusion in the 10-year residential LERTA tax abatement program. On a $250,000 condo, a new buyer would save approximately $2,700 per year on city taxes ($27,000 over 10 years) and $3,480 a year on school taxes ($34,800 over 10 years).

The Carlyle is marketed by Coldwell Banker Real Estate and has six floor plans starting at $234,000. Half of the units are sold. Information, 412-325-1190.




Carriage homes are now available at The Village at Treesdale in Adams, Butler County.

No-maintenance spaces start at $299,000, have 2,800 square feet or more and come with a one-year social membership to The Treesdale Country Club. Brennan Builders offers three floor plans, all of which include a first-floor master suite, two-story entry, hardwood and ceramic tile flooring, a large kitchen with island and two-car attached garage.
