Pittsburgh's music-and-more mime, Dan Kamin again traveled to China to perform with the Shanghai Symphony. This time, he also participated in a benefit concert for victims of the earthquake there.

"The benefit was organized by a group of twenty women who do charity events, and was held at the Four Seasons hotel," he wrote this week in an e-mail. "It raised over 2 million yuan (about $300,000)." He also performed on Kids Day on June 1 (why don't we have that holiday?).
