In case you had not seen this: Honda's humanoid project, Asimo, showed it has musical ability by "conducting" the Detroit Symphony Orchestra this week. It was its debut, and the piece was "The Impossible Dream." Apparently, Asimo moved the baton with life-like grace. It even got a good review of sorts from the Detroit Free Press. That's Leonard Slatkin's new gig, along with being principal guest conductor at the Pittsburgh Symphony, but, no, he is not going to lose his job anytime soon to the little 'bot.

And I am not even going to make any corny remarks about other robotic conductors out there. I am just going to pass this on.

Enjoy.

There is video of the performance here.
