Friday, May 16, 2008

Two 77-year-old men who were reported missing early today have both been found safe.

Harry W. Stewart was reported missing from his home on Grant Avenue in East Butler last night. He was found around 3 p.m. today and is in good health, state police said.

Mr. Stewart had not been seen since Tuesday.

State police also said this morning that a Westmoreland County man who was apparently confused and reported he was lost has been found.

State police said John Tranchine of Slickville contacted his family at 2:17 a.m., saying he was driving his pickup truck and was lost. The cell phone call was traced to the North Hills.

Late this morning, police said he had been found but they provided no details.
