Six people were killed in a two-car crash late Saturday afternoon on Interstate 90.
State police said an eastbound minivan carrying seven people crossed the grass median into the westbound lane a quarter-mile east of the West Springfield exit, Exit 3. The van flipped over on top of a car traveling westbound.
Six of the seven people traveling in the minivan were pronounced dead at the scene.
State police closed I-90 westbound from Exit 6 to Exit 3. Westbound traffic was being diverted onto Route 20.
