Prudential Preferred Realty has announced that Alexis Fitch has earned the professional designation of Fine Homes Specialist.

Cathy Addessi was the top sales associate for listings closed for the month of April.

Howard Hanna Real Estate Services will hold "Ready, Set, Buy Seminars as a follow-up to the 2008 Open House Extravaganza.

The information sessions will feature practical how-to information on home buying, home ownership advantages, the mechanics of a home purchases, mortgage, financials and more.

The seminars are free but reservations are requested.

Howard Hanna Real Estate Services East Suburban office will hold a golf outing to benefit the Children's Hospital Free Care Fund.

Grandview Golf Club in North Braddock will be the venue for the event on June 20.

Golf will be played in the "shot-gun" format and the cost is $100 per person for a foursome, which includes dinner, drinks and snacks. There also will be a hole-in-one contest for an opportunity to win a car from Cochran Automotive.

The Mooncrest Neighborhood Association held its ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on May 2. Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato was on hand for the festivities.

Mooncrest's recent renovation includes five new townhomes. The community is composed of 396 units, which are home to 150 children between the ages of 3 and 13.

CONTEST

Two local students placed third nationally in the Coldwell Banker "My Home: The American Dream" contest.

Lucy Crelli, a seventh grader from St. Bede School in Point Breeze, and Kiley Hajek, a fifth grader in South Butler Intermediate School, won with their essays about their homes. They each received a $100 prize.
