For some people who live east of Downtown, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation may have you coming and going this weekend.

The Boulevard of Allies will be reduced to one inbound lane from 8 p.m. Friday through 5 p.m. Sunday as crews repair inlets and do other preparatory work for future paving from the Birmingham Bridge to the Crosstown Boulevard/I-579.

The Parkway East/I-376 will see single- and double-lane closures in the outbound direction from the Edgewood-Swissvale Interchange to the Churchill Exit from midnight Friday until no later than 5 a.m. Monday. In addition, the outbound exit ramps at Greensburg Pike and Wilkinsburg will be closed over the same period.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has adjusted the closing times to accommodate people going to Mellon Arena for Penguins hockey playoff games that begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and again Sunday.

In addition, PennDOT advised motorists that some work may be postponed or delayed because of the weather.
