A Washington County man was found dead in his front yard yesterday morning after his brother had given him a ride home.

Richard Smith, 42, of Sims Lane, Fallowfield, was "discovered unresponsive lying in the front yard area of his residence," according to a report by the Washington County coroner's office.

The news release said Mr. Smith was last seen by his brother at 3:30 a.m. yesterday, when he was dropped off at his house. The body was found about 8 a.m. An autopsy was to be performed.
