The education group A+ Schools has announced a second round of community meetings on changes proposed for Pittsburgh high schools.
All meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. Child care is available, and a light dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.
A meeting on the new university partnership school for grades six through 12 will be today at the Hill House in the Hill District. The new principal, Sito Narcisse, and other district officials are scheduled to attend.
A meeting on the merger of the high school and middle grade magnet arts schools will be held May 15; a meeting on the new International Baccalaureate school for grades six through 12 will be held May 20; and a meeting on the new science and technology school for grades six through 12 is set for May 29.
All three sessions will be held on the 31st floor of the Regional Enterprise Tower, Downtown. A+ Schools will validate parking in the Mellon Square garage.
Carey Harris, executive director of A+ Schools, said the meetings will give Pittsburgh Public Schools officials an opportunity to explain how high school plans have been modified since residents offered feedback during the first round of meetings in February, March and April.
