Pitt's Otah goes to Carolina

Jeff Otah today became the first Pitt offensive lineman to be selected in the first round of the NFL draft in 13 years.

He was the 19th overall pick of the Carolina Panthers.

Otah, 6 feet 6 and 322 pounds, started at left tackle for the Panthers the past two years after transferring from Valley Forge Military Academy & College.

Guard Ruben Brown was the last Pitt offensive lineman to be taken in the first round. He was the 14th overall pick of the Buffalo Bills in 1995.
