• The Harris Grill in Shadyside closed for repairs after being seriously damaged by a fire last August. But as of April 16 it has officially reopened, and many are already enjoying their famous patio. SIP SOMETHING NEW

• Aldo Coffee in Mt. Lebanon is holding a coffee tasting Saturday from 8-11 a.m., featuring coffee from up-and-coming local micro-roaster Jake's Java of Peters. Participants can sample several different coffees from Africa and Central and South America, as well as take home a 2 1/2 -ounce sample of beans for home brewing. WARM UP FOR THE WINE FESTIVAL

• Just can't wait for next month's Pittsburgh Wine Festival? Celebrate an early wine dinner at D'Imperio's restaurant in Monroeville. The dinner to be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. will include five courses paired with wine. Cost is $65 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). For more information, call 412-823-4800.

Or perhaps you'd like to gear up for the grand tasting with a little bit of wine education? The Wilkins School Community Center's wine class on Tuesday features "Ten Years of California Cabernets."
