The (Kevin) Colbert Report
April 21, 2008
Monday, April 21, 2008

Got back a little while ago from the Kevin Colbert/Mike Tomlin press conference and needless to say it was filled with quite a bit of truthiness.

OnNotice
Note fifth entry down on "ON NOTICE" board. Heh.

That is to say that you cannot believe anything that NFL GM's and coaches are saying this time of year as they try and throw each other off the scent of the draft picks they covet the most. Peter King has a good quote about it in this week's MMQB. (Speaking of -- add King to the list of folks that has the Steelers taking Branden Albert of Virginia)

Remember a few years ago when the Steelers were swooning over Phillip Rivers? Were they really? Or were they just making it appear that way?

At any rate -- today's press conference was a terrific exercise in a lot of words being spoken without anything substanitive actually being said. In other words, this person might as well have been giving the presser.
