Gateway junior linebacker commits to Ohio State
Monday, April 21, 2008

Gateway High School's Dorian Bell, ranked by most scouting services as the No. 1 junior in WPIAL football, announced at a news conference this afternoon that he will attend Ohio State.

Bell, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker, had scholarship offers from more than 30 Division I colleges, including Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, Michigan and Florida State.

He visited Ohio State this weekend for the Buckeyes' spring game.

Bell is ranked among the top 20 players in the country by most national scouting services.

Verbal commitments are non-binding. Bell will have to wait until next February before he signs a national letter of intent.
