Two state constables were in critical condition yesterday after being shot outside a Homewood bar.
The men, a 37-year-old from East Hills and a 24-year-old from Penn Hills, were shot around 1:15 a.m. after leaving Club 22/Rendezvous at 7736 Hamilton Ave., where they'd been socializing, city police said. Both men were taken to UPMC Presbyterian after one of them called police.
Investigators said they do not believe the men were targeted because they are constables. Police believe their attacker fired from a parking lot across the street, where shell casings were found.
