Pitt's Gold take their Blue for a ride, 60-25
Saturday, April 19, 2008

The Gold beat the Blue, 60-25, in Pitt's annual Blue-Gold spring football game before a crowd of 7,549 at Heinz Field tonight. The Gold, which was the offense, obviously got the better of the Blue (defense) but also took advantage of a most generous scoring system along with the fact that the defense did very little blitzing and didn't jam receivers at the line.

Redshirt freshman tailback Sharriff Harris led all rushers with 9 carries for 65 yards and had a 15-yard touchdown and sophomore quarterback Pat Bostick led all passers with 105 yards.

Junior-college transfer quarterback Greg Cross contributed two of the most exciting -- and long -- plays of the night as he hit sophomore receiver Maurice Williams with a 37-yard pass and he also ran for 29 yards to pick up a first down on third-and-20.
