Blue beats White, 27-14, in Penn State spring game

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Starting quarterback Daryll Clark tossed two touchdown passes today as the Blue beat the White, 27-14, in Penn State's annual spring game before an estimated 73,000 fans at Beaver Stadium.

Clark, who finished 9 of 16 passes for 106 yards but was sacked three times, tossed a 33-yard scoring strike to receiver Derrick Williams late in the first quarter to put the Blue ahead for good at 14-7.

Clark also hit receiver Brett Brackett with a five-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter.

Backup quarterback Pat Devlin completed 12 of 18 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown, a five-yard toss to receiver Graham Zug in the third quarter. Devlin was sacked three times.

Backup tailback Stephfon Green managed 87 yards on 12 carries and scored on an electrifying 57-yard run for the White squad in the first quarter.
