A Grindstone man has been charged with running into another man with his pickup truck yesterday, an incident that state police say was the result of road rage.
Sean Ryan Bavuso, 22, was arrested today with aggravated assault and is being held at Fayette County Jail, while the victim, Lou Thorpe, 36, of Bentleyville, is in fair condition at Allegheny General Hospital.
Police say that about 6 p.m. yesterday Mr. Thorpe pulled off to the side of Route 201 in Perry to confront Mr. Bavuso, who followed and struck Mr. Thorpe with the right front side of his pickup truck, catapulting him into the air. Mr. Bavuso then fled the scene, according to police.
Mr. Thorpe was taken by ambulance to a Life Flight helicopter and flown to Allegheny General.
