The Pennsylvania primary election is Tuesday, April 22.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Anyone in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
Voters will be chosing party nominees for the offices of U.S. President, U.S. House of Representatives, state treasurer, state attorney general, state auditor general, some state Senate seats and all state House seats.
Pennsylvania has a closed primary election, which means voters registered as Democrats must vote for Democratic candidates and voters registered as Republicans must vote for Republican candidates. Those registered as Independents or belonging to other parties are not eligible to vote in the Pennsylvania primary.
Voters who sent in registration cards before March 24, but whose cards were not processed, will be able to vote using a provisional ballot.
Any voter whose registration card was not received in the elections office by March 24 will not be eligible to vote.
In the presidential contest, voters will be asked to state a preference for president and then choose convention delegates. The choice that counts is presidential preference.
At stake in the Democratic presidential race are 158 delegates, 103 of whom are allotted proportionally by congressional district; 35 proportionally by the statewide vote; and another 20, reserved for party leaders and elected officials that are also proportionately allotted. On the Republican side, 71 delegates are at stake.
