Animal Friends wine-tasting
Thursday, April 10, 2008

It's a whine and cheese tasting! Animal Friends is holding "W(h)ine," its first "B-Y-O-dog" wine tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow. That event is already full at 35 participants, but they're holding another one on May 9.

Here's how it works: Bring your canine (must be leashed, nonaggressive and current on shots) and join other dog owners and their dogs to sample and learn about six animal-themed wines. People also get bread and cheese; biscuits will be provided for the dogs. Cost is $15 (to benefit homeless animals) for the event, to be held at the group's Caryl Gates Gluck Resource Center at 562 Camp Horne Road in Ohio Township (outdoors if the weather is nice). For details, call 412-847-7055.
