State police have charged a North Huntingdon man in the Monday morning Route 30 hit-and-run death of a Westmoreland County teenager.

Police said Matthew Richard Snyder, 26, was traveling westbound on Route 30 near Hempfield Pointe Plaza when he ran over Christopher Allen Hays, 18, of Grapeville, around 2:15 a.m. Monday as Mr. Hays pushed his bike on the side of the road with a friend.
